I needed something for everyday use, not something perfect in a box. The packaging was nothing fancy but protective and the item itself was clean overall. In use, the ball steering helps around furniture and attachments worked for stairs. The only thing I would warn people about is that the hose is stiff at first. The deal was good enough that I stopped overthinking it. I am keeping it and using it regularly.
